Who uses CAPIs now?
-
Most CAPI users now are professional athletes or under a medical
professional's care. CAPIs were designed for pronaters, but have been
found joyously effective by people with many other foot problems as
well. CAPIs are guaranteed effective to your satisfaction or your
money back.
-
What size of CAPI should I order?
-
Select your CAPI size by the size of your street shoe. "Dress shoes" run
truer to size than athletic shoes, so we "size" CAPIs to dress shoe
conventions.
-
I ordered a Woman's 7 but received a Man's 5.
-
It's the same - a woman's size is two numbers higher than a man's.
-
Can I wash CAPIs?
-
Yes. Toss them into your washing machine with a load on gentle cycle.
Do Not Machine Dry!. Air dry them.
-
What if I don't know if I pronate?
-
Many people are wearing CAPIs without being a pronater. In fact, many
people with the opposite problem find CAPIs help them too. CAPIs have
helped people with...
-
How do I fit the CAPI into my athletic or work shoe?
-
Simply remove the current insole (even if it's glued in) and place the
CAPI in the shoe. This is very, very important - you may be reluctant
to do this, and it may be somewhat difficult to remove the old insole,
but it is absolutely necessary. You'll find you'll "come unglued"
by the great results the CAPI provides, but only if you remove the insole
that came with the shoe.
-
Do I have to cut the CAPI in order to fit it in my shoe?
-
Usually you do not need to cut the CAPI. Proper size ordering should
make it unnecessary. However, you can trim the toe a little bit if
necessary, and still get CAPI's great results.
-
Can the CAPI be modified?
-
Pads can be added or holes can be cut into the CAPI (by a qualified
medical professional) for planters warts and other medical problems.
-
Does the CAPI come in different widths?
-
No. The CAPI comes in full and half sizes, all in the most common width
for each size, which does fit most people.
-
How long do CAPIs last?
-
They usually outlast the shoe they're in (please see next question).
For the average user, CAPIs last from 500 miles to six months.
-
How often should I change my CAPIs?
-
Every time you buy new shoes. You'll notice that CAPIs thermaform to
your foot, becoming customized for your foot's individual shape and
contours. They also thermaform to your shoes. When you move CAPIs from
one shoe to another, you're fighting the benefits that a CAPI gives.
-
What is DynacomTM?
-
CAPIs are made from DynacomTM, a unique
space age material that provides a highly uniform closed cell structure
while allowing us to vary the thickness and shape of the material. It
provides maximum shock absorption in the heel area and support
throughout the integrated arch support system.
-
Why don't CAPIs feel "cushy"?
-
The "soft and cushy" inserts provide no real support or foot control.
Dynacom offers much better shock absorption, and no "squishy" feeling.
-
Does the CAPI absorb shock?
-
Yes.
-
How good is the CAPI arch support system?
-
Superb! The CAPI has a fully integrated arch support system from the
heel cup through the varus wedge. The CAPI also contains a lateral
support system which holds up the "first ray" and ensures that the
muscle contractions of the foot work properly.
-
Does the CAPI help prevent injuries?
-
Definitely! Dynacom offers maximum protection against injuries and is
far superior to other insoles, regardless of price.
-
Does the CAPI smell?
-
No. Dynacom has no "rubber" odor and is made with an antibacterial cover.
-
How do CAPIs compare to Orthodocs?
-
Orthotics are much more rigid and less comfortable. They are heavier
and provide less shock absorption than CAPIs. You have to "get used to" an
orthotic, while CAPIs mold to your foot.
